Applications for potential GSMS Students, Resident Director and Resident Assistant can be found in the links at the bottom of this page. All applications are Microsoft Word documents. Student applications must first be turned in at the school level. The school selection committee then forwards applications to the county coordinator. The county rank-orders the students and the names and applications are to be sent to Sherry Keffer at the Department of Education and the Arts by April 10, 2008.
Pages 1-3 of the student application are to be filled out by the student, and page 4 is to be signed by the student and his/her parent(s). Pages 5 & 6 are recommendation forms for one teacher, and pages 7 & 8 are for the other. Print copies of the teacher recommendation forms to give to the teachers you have selected, but tell them that they can also visit the website to download them. Page 9 is for the school counselor or principal, and page 10 is an additional permission form. If you have questions, ask your counselor for help or call Sherry Keffer at (304) 558-2440. Submit your completed application to the appropriate person at your school.
Under no circumstances are you to submit your application to the state offices. Applications, even those of home-schooled students, must be processed through the county. County choices must be postmarked by April 10, 2008.
